Effective wholesale management is critical to the success of a wine brand

A positive and proactive approach to working with partners at the distribution, restaurant, and retail tiers, as well as support on the consumer level is essential in order to meet sales targets while increasing brand visibility and strength. In drawing from my experience, expertise, and relationships, I can help you successfully fill the role of national/regional sales manager. Together, we can take your brand to new heights.

Support for our Distribution Partners:

  • Strategic and effective market sales visits.     

  • Develop long and short term sales goals for individual wholesale markets throughout the country, a strategy for achieving those goals, and the implementation of the strategy.    

  • Staff education for the sales team.

  • Regular review of goals, and continued dialogue with distribution management on best paths to achieve sales goals.

  • Consistent engagement with the sales team to develop and maintain a good rapport and keep our brand in their minds.

  • Implement incentive programs for distribution sales team.

  • Participate in the right trade tastings and other trade events that increase our brand visibility.

Restaurant/Retail and Consumer Support:

  • Staff training on the wines for our restaurant and retail partners.

  • Participate in productive consumer tastings and wine dinners.

  • Launch employee incentive programs within high potential accounts.

  • Cultivate relationships with restaurant/retail and consumer supporters to establish long term support.

  • Promotion of your wine brand across multiple social media platforms.

Ryan Maloney, WSET III

Born and raised in the Napa Valley, Ryan has spent his entire life around the wine industry. Aside from his childhood paper route delivering The Napa Register, his jobs growing up were in local tasting rooms and cellars.  Looking to further his knowledge and turn his passion for wine into a career after graduating from college, Ryan worked in wine production, retail, and in a wine bar, eventually landing a job with a premier wine distributor and importer, where he worked for over 13 years in sales and in multiple management roles.  Ryan holds his WSET III certificate, which he passed with distinction. 

Ryan enjoys spending time with his wife and two young daughters, traveling, cooking, staying active, and enjoying life in the north county San Diego area where he resides.
